Clinical Pilates involves a detailed assessment by one of our Physiotherapy team members. There will be a thorough history, posture and movement analysis based on the DMA Pilates model. From here a customised program will be devised to suit the individuals needs, based on core Pilates principles.
The exercises are conducted in a small group atmosphere in a private, customised gym space.

BEAT IT DIABETES PROGRAM
for people living with type 1 or type 2 diabetes
Beat it is an 8-week group exercise and lifestyle program to help you better manage your diabetes and improve your general health. Each exercise session is individually tailored to each participants level of fitness and their medical history.
It will be run at Platinum Physiotherapy on Wednesdays and Fridays at 1pm.
This session involves moderate-intensity aerobic, strength and balance based exercises as well as education sessions on healthier living.
The Beat it program includes:
an initial health and fitness assessment
16 group sessions (two per week)
an individualised exercise program
6 education sessions throughout
a final consultation
Who is eligible?
Type 1/2 Diabetics who are either:
Diagnosed and are able to obtain an EPC from their GP
Diagnosed and are able to obtain a Group Referral form for Exercise Physiology from their GP
Those who are at risk of developing diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, osteoporosis and other related chronic health conditions and associated complication and have an EPC from their GP
Private paying participants
What is the cost?
EPC: total cost depends on how many sessions scheduled for EP
Medicare group referral: bulkbilled
Private paying: $25 per class (HF rebates may apply)
